On March 22, Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will be a keynote lunch speaker at the Transforming Communities Trash-Free Solutions for Healthy Lives, Clean Land,
Safe Water Summit sponsored by the Alice Ferguson Foundation. The summit will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Maryland College Park’s Riggs Alumni Center. This is the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Potomac
River Watershed Trash Treaty, an agreement amongst regional leaders, businesses
and governments that committed to working towards a trash free Potomac River.

Joining Leggett on the panel will
be Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and other leaders.
The panel will be moderated by Greater Washington Board of Trade President and
CEO, Jim Dinegar, who will lead a discussion about the successes and best
management practices of Maryland jurisdictions.
