Highway Services to Make Emergency Repairs to Major Culvert on Kinster Drive in Germantown

Three, 96-inch, corrugated metal storm drain pipes underneath Kinster Drive have failed and Highway Services will begin a four-month project to replace them. The project will require closure of a portion of the road. Read more.

Be a Good Neighbor When Parking Dockless Bikes

A dockless bikeshare demonstration project in Silver Spring is providing new travel options – and an opportunity to be a good neighbor when parking a bike by ensuring it is not blocking access for pedestrians, transit users, or those who use a wheelchair or have mobility impairments. Park on publicly-owned land or use the preferred parking areas marked by signs along Ellsworth Street next to Veteran’s Plaza and behind the Silver Spring Transit Center along Ripley Street. See map.
