Traffic Calming an Effective Tool in Improving Safety

Every year, MCDOT plans and completes dozens of traffic calming and intersection improvement projects to slow speeding traffic, including installing speed humps, traffic circles and curb extensions. The latest project under construction is a roundabout at the intersection of Kerry Lane, Glendale Road and Kerry Road in Chevy Chase.
