Sixty more Capital Bikeshare stations are coming to the DC metro area -- with seven of them in Montgomery County. Two
of the stations will be funded by developers The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) expects to take delivery of the equipment by the end
of this year. MCDOT hasn't chosen the exact locations of the new stations, but its goal is to supplement the existing downcounty Capital Bikeshare network. There currently are 51 Bikeshare stations in the county -- in Bethesda, Friendship Heights, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Rockville and the Shady Grove area.
