Become a Yeti: "Professional Neighbor" has Organized on Online Volunteer Matching Program to Link Neighbors During Snowstorms

A man who bills himself as a “Professional Neighbor” has created a website at SnowCrew.org to link neighbors with neighbors during snowstorms. Volunteers sign up to assist others in their community with shoveling and those who need help request it on the site or through Facebook or Twitter. According to his website, Joseph Porcelli has been helping his neighbors in need get dugout from snowstorms since 2010.

Recently, he has encouraged people to help dig out handicapped parking spaces and fire hydrants, as well.

Follow SnowCrew on Porcelli's website, Facebook or Twitter. Sign up online for assistance when you need it or to be a volunteer.
