MCDOT’s Division of
Highway Services continues its efforts to improve the County’s road
infrastructure.
Resurfacing of roads in
the Timber Hill neighborhood of Burtonsville and the Clearspring
Meadows/Damascus Hill neighborhoods in Damascus, begin this month. MCDOT will
remove and replace distressed pavement areas and repave with hot mix asphalt.
Timber Hill is expected to take six weeks and the Damascus neighborhoods will
take about 10 weeks to complete, weather permitting. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. If
necessary, some work may be done on Saturdays.
Full-depth, permanent
patching project using hot mix asphalt are planned for Sellman Road, Dickerson;
Brown Church Road, Mt. Airy; and Flower Hill Way, Gaithersburg this spring.
Sellman and Brown Church roads are expected to take about two weeks to complete,
with work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Flower Hill Way
will take about four weeks to complete,
weather permitting, with work hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through
Friday.
