Road Patching and Resurfacing Projects Begin this Month

Three full-depth, permanent patching projects are scheduled to start this month. Two Rockville projects will patch Watts Branch Drive, between Circle and Overlea drives, which will take about two weeks and Randolph Hills, south of Boiling Brook Parkway, which will take about eight weeks.  Peach Orchard Road, from Spencerville Road to Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring, will be completed in about two weeks.

In addition, roads in the Kensington Heights neighborhood will be repaired and resurfaced. The project will take about eight weeks to complete.

Project schedules are dependent on the weather. Work hours for the projects will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drivers should look for lane closures and/or alternating one-way traffic patterns, but the roads will remain open to traffic. Access to residences should not be affected except for minor delays when fresh hot-mix asphalt is spread.
