DHS has on-staff
arborists who help care for the thousands of trees that are located in the
County’s right-of-way. DHS inspects, prunes, removes and, most importantly,
plants trees to enhance the tree canopy and ensure that the trees we have are
healthy and pose no safety hazards.
From January through
November of this year, DHS inspected nearly 3,200 trees, pruned about 1,750
trees, removed 600 trees and 795 stumps, and planted
nearly 1,000 trees.
