Beginning Friday, October 23 at 9 p.m. (weather permitting), the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) will begin reconstructing the roadway in front of bus stops on New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650) near the intersections of both Ruatan Street and Merrimac Drive in Langley Park, near the Prince George’s/Montgomery County border. Construction is expected to be completed on Sunday, October 25 at noon.

The construction is part of an SHA $3 million safety and resurfacing project on MD 650 from Merrimac Drive to the Montgomery County line. During construction, SHA’s contractor is permitted to close two left or two right lanes.
