In December, Metro began testing real-time
customer information displays at four bus stops, including two in Montgomery
County at Veirs Mill and Randolph roads. Metro expects to install more signs in the
coming year.
The signs use GPS technology to show
bus riders remaining how many minutes remain until their bus arrives. The signs
also have the capability to show emergency messages, detour information and
