MCDOT Wins Grants for Four Bikeshare Stations and Safe Routes to School Program
MCDOT has received a Bikeways Grant Award from the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Maryland Bikeways Program to install four bikeshare stations along the Bethesda Trolley Trail. In addition, MCDOT received a grant to conduct pedestrian and traffic safety enforcement and education at targeted schools. Read more.
Spin Dockless Bikeshare Begins in Silver Spring December 8
MCDOT has signed an agreement with Spin dockless bikeshare and 100 bikes will be placed in Silver Spring starting the evening of December 7. Spin is the third company to participate in Montgomery County’s dockless bike demonstration project, joining LimeBike and Ofo. Read more.
WMATA Seeks Feedback on Access Improvements at Bethesda, Silver Spring and New Carrollton Stations for MTA’s Purple Line Project

Ride On Assists with DEP’s Gift Outside the Box! Campaign
The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection is sponsoring a holiday campaign with a little help from MCDOT’s Ride On bus system. Thirty-six buses feature an exterior ad and 250 Ride On buses have an interior bus card promoting making sustainable choices, supporting local businesses and encouraging volunteerism.
